Lake Patterson, Aurora, Illinois: Late last Friday, after these pictures was taken, I found out a close friend had passed. Based on my conversation with her husband of thirty-five years, she died around 10:30 AM CDT. How fitting these photos were shot just afterward during lunch. The sky and water were beautiful and the Canadian geese silhouetted in several of the pictures mate for life. She and her husband had been friends since they were in grade school and happily together ever since.
